Study Island is excited to bring new Group Sessions to you! These new additions to Study Island will give your students loads of fun demonstrating what they know.
What is Study Island?
Study Island supports your students in achieving grade-level standards proficiency by providing teachers with enjoyable, engaging test preparation and practice tools that your whole class can use.
For ages 3-18, aligned to US curricula, and with over 600,000 unique questions, Study Island supports formative assessment strategies and makes assessing standards mastery easy.
So What’s New?
NEW Group Sessions – Challenge & Race Mode
With the two new Group Session modes, which offer some friendly competition and a great way of delivering formative assessment, you can make learning fun; that’s whether you are challenging students with a quiz during the middle or at the end of a lesson, or you’re looking at content at the start of a class, or preparing for tests and assessments.
In this mode, students take on each other in a session that is teacher led. Students will be able to earn points for certain reasons – those being earning points for correct answers, fast responses and streaks for however many answers are correct.
In this mode, students need to take on each other in a race to answer as many questions correctly as fast as they can.
You can also begin a session with Study Island’s proven effective, standards-based resources quickly – it doesn’t matter which mode you decide to choose. In Study Island’s reporting area, you can view all progress and performance information immediately after, which is also saved for looking at later.
